VSOP offset rotation press
Vuye Flexible Packaging will print your labels on a VSOP (Variable Sleeve Offset Printing) offset rotation press. This unique technology makes it possible to print ‘variable print lengths' in offset, which previously was only feasible in flexographic or intaglio (helio) printing. This is facilitated by the fact that the printing plate is mounted on a removable sleeve with a variable diameter so that a job or format change merely requires a different sleeve. This process is not only simpler and faster; it is also much cheaper as the cost of an offset plate is a fraction of the cost of a digital flexo printing plate or intaglio cylinder.
VSOP is particularly suitable for the printing of flexible packaging made of paper, cardboard or foil such as PET, OPP, OPS or a combination of these synthetic materials. VSOP has another major advantage in addition to the short exchange times and variable printing lengths. The offset printing process also guarantees excellent image quality, unequalled by any other printing process. Fresh, lively colours in which even the smallest details are crystal clear.
